"I wish that being cautious, being thoughtful about our footprint on the planet wasn't something exceptional, but simply the standard."

This project, simple in its essence, carries the traces of my own identity.

I was born and raised in Bulgaria, in a small town, in a time when life was not always easy. Many of the things I saw as a child stayed with me — not so much as clear memories, but as ways of understanding value.

I remember my grandfather collecting broken everyday objects and repairing them, giving them a second life. Sometimes he would combine parts from different things, resulting in objects that were not always visually appealing, but always functional.

I also remember my grandmother being frustrated by the chaos of his workshop — yet everything was somehow always exactly where it needed to be.

Later, I saw the same mindset in my father’s work as a carpenter. In our family workshop, leftover pieces of wood were carefully stored and never immediately seen as waste. They were simply part of the environment of making.

These experiences shaped the way I perceive objects, materials, and creative process.
